| Responsibilities
Optimize HIV Testing in the facility and community
Provide technical leadership in developing strategies and interventions to improve the quality and responsiveness of HIV testing in the facility and community
Provide technical support and quality assurance HTS activities including
activities that promote targeted testing for children, adolescents and adult males and partner testing.
Work with the Community HTS partner (s) to come up with effective linkage and tracking of those tested positive to ensure that they are enrolled In care
Support HTS sub grantees in Monitoring and tracking (on a monthly basis) the availability of Rapid Test Kits (RTKs), and other supplies necessary for HTS delivery
Track and report on all HTS related Inputs, processes, outputs, outcomes and impact at supported sites to ensure that adequate progress is made towards set targets
Manage development of annual, quarterly and monthly work plans, monitor and report on progress towards project milestones on regular basis and document lessons learnt
Monitor and evaluate psychosocial and community linkage activities implementation
Key Populations access and utilization of HIV services
Provide technical leadership in developing strategies and intervention to improve the quality and responsiveness of HIV prevention and HIV service delivery for KPs,
Provide technical assistance and mentorship to other service delivery team members and facilitate technical capacity assessments in efficacious, evidence-based HIV prevention for key populations,
Provide prevention package of services at facility and community level for HIV negative KPs.
Expand and improve testing services for Key Populations using targeted outreach strategies,
Support early enrollment into Anti-Retroviral Treatment (ART) for KPs and monitor viral load (VL) suppression in collaboration with health facilities
Develop a system to link and track KPs enrolled in care and treatment program (i.e. unique identifiers, document mobility trends of KP’s work location, etc.)
Establish routine monitoring system in KPs to demonstrate program effectiveness and inform program improvement over time.
S/he should represent EGPAF in TWGs and other task force meetings related to HTS and KPs
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
BSc in Nursing, Public health Community health or health related field MPH is an added advantage
Knowledge and understanding of HIV services, HTS, Key populations, PMTCT, MCH, pediatric and adult HIV care and treatment
Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented with ability to prioritize, take initiative and follow-through
Must understand PEPFAR /CDC/MOH Technical guidance requirements for HIV Programming for Key Populations
Results oriented with a demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with competing priorities
Strong communication skills, both oral and written
