 As a federal enterprise, the Deutsche Gesellschaft flair Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH supports the German Government in achieving its objective in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development. GIZ operates in more than 130 countries around the globe. In Malawi, GIZ has been working for more than 30 years. Malawi is a priority for German international cooperation and currently focuses on three priority areas: education, health and private sector development in rural areas. In addition to our work on these areas, we also work on public financial and economic management and social protection.

GIZ is recruiting one Driver for the Nutrition and Access to Primary Education Programme who will be based in Nkhata Bay. A detailed Job description is available on request.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Secondary school education
Holds a valid driver’s licence
At least 4 years’ work experience as a driver with references
No major accidents in the past 3 years
Ideally holds a first aid certificate.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Safely and responsibly performing all official travel using official vehicles
Regularly servicing and looking after official vehicles
Taking account of all available information on road conditions, accessible routes and locations
Running official errands and
Assisting with other office work
Maintaining accurately a vehicle log-book of all resource and personnel movements in his/her assigned vehicle.
Sending regularly scan copies of the log-book to the NAPE HQ in Lilongwe.

The Junior Accountant will report to the Head of Finance and will assist in the invoice checking, travel claims, liquidation, online banking and administration of Petty cash.

JOB ORGANISATION CONTEXT

If you are a committed, creative professional and are passionate about working with smallholder farmers to improve their livelihoods, we would like to hear from you.

TAPP will soon be implementing the Malawi Mozambique (MAMO) Sustainable Agriculture Programme with funding from the Development Fund of Norway (DF) in Dowa, Ntchisi and Kasungu districts.

PURPOSE OF POST

The incumbent will be reporting to the Programmes Officer and is responsible for day to day implementation of the project activities in collaboration with Government Extension Officers and Lead farmers.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION

Education

Diploma in Agriculture from recognized institutions.
Must be computer literate.
Work experience

Two years of relevant professional work experience, including field experience with smallholder farmers.
Must have a clean Motorcycle driving license.

TELEVISION PRODUCER

 Zodiak Television is looking for am innovative and dynamic individual to be employed as a Television Producer for it's Television. The successful applicant, who will be based in Lilongwe, will be responsible for facilitating television programmes and projects from beginning to end. They will be involved in every state of the studio and on location. If you are a creative, have an outgoing personality and love working with people, this is an ideal job for you.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The producer will be responsible, but not limited, for the following;

1. Producing television programs of high quality

2. Reading, researching and assessing ideas, and finished reports;

3. Organising shooting schedules, supervising the progress of the project from products to post production;

4. Holding regular meeting with the production supervisor to discuss progress of programs and projects;

5. Providing revenue generation ideas for the company through television programs and activities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES

The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications and attributes;

• Must have a Degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Television and Film or any related field.

• Must have an understanding of the latest general and editing technology and knowledge of video editing softwares

• Must have good command of English and Chichewa

• Must have good analytical, communication, financial and managerial skills

• Must be flexible, organized, willing to work long hours and thrive under pressure of deadlines

• Must be resourceful

• Must be able to work independently, self starter and team player
