FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION MANAGER

 Reporting to FAWEMA Executive Director, the Finance and Administration Manager heads the Finance, Administration and Human Resources Department and oversees FAWEMA’s day-to-day financial, administrative and human resources functions.

Key duties and responsibilities:

Formulation of FAWEMA’s financial plans, and preparation of periodic budgets and forecasts.
Timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual management and financial reports to meet FAWEMA’s reporting requirements.
Ensure compliance with all donor and FAWEMA requirements, rules and policies of financial activities, financial recording/reporting system;
Implementation of effective internal controls and proper functioning of the financial management systems.
Continuous analysis and monitoring of the financial situation, including expenditure reports and transactions.
Lead preparations for annual audits, donor audits and liaise with Management and the Board the outcome of the audit results.
In collaboration with the Programme Manager, ensure timely preparation of funds requests to FAWEMA donors and disbursement of funds to projects.
Advise on employment laws, policies, rules and procedures to employees, and Managers regarding Human Resources matters.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Good knowledge of financial management —including budgeting, cash-flow forecasting, auditing, financial reporting, banking contacts and negotiations.
Highly organized with abilities to prioritize, multi-task, and take initiative
Ability to write, compile and/or review reports with high level of attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and problem solving.
Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and follow through issues.
An honest, independent and self-motivated team player with high level of integrity.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Certified/Chartered Accountant fully qualified in ACCA or CPA with at least a Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting or Finance from a recognized institution.
At least 5 years in a management role in Accounting or Finance, preferably in a non-governmental organisation.
Minimum of 2-3 years human resources management and administration experience.
Advanced proficiency in SAGE evolution, Word, Excel, Power point and Outlook

Job Summary

Purpose of the Position

The Information Technology Officer is responsible for installing and maintaining computer hardware, software and networks.

Scope

The Information Technology Officer reports to the Management through the Director of Loans.
He/She manages and provides hardware and software maintenance, training and consultation, and recommendations about future planning and development of resources.
He/She provides these services in an effective and efficient manner that will ensure maximum access to and implementation of technology services and resources.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages information technology and computer systems.
Plans, organizes, directs, controls and evaluates the operations of information systems and electronic data processing (EDP)
Develop and implement policies and procedures for electronic data processing and computer systems operations and development.
Meet with managers to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and timelines
Hire and manage information systems personnel and contractors to design, develop, implement, operate and administer computer and telecommunications software, networks and information systems.
Control the computer systems budgets and expenditures
Ensure technology is accessible and equipped with current hardware and software.

MAIN ACTIVITIES

Troubleshoot hardware, software and network operating system
Be familiar with all hardware and software
