Post: Maintenance Officer (Grade I)

Salary : Within the Grade I salary scale segment

Location: Bingu National Stadium, Lilongwe

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants should be serving Senior Assistant Maintenance Officers (Grade with a minimum of four (4) years expenence in electrical and electronic or IT engineering or non-serving in possession of a Bachelor of Science majoring in either Electrical and Electronic Engineering or IT Engineering obtained from accredited institutions.

DUTIES

Repair projectors, radios, amplifies and other equipment; install Audio Visual Equipment and design and Electronic Gadgets;
supervise the operation of Public address systems and recording of public functions, parliamentary proceedings, local and international conferences, etc.

NOTE:

Documentary evidence of major requirements specified in the advertisement shall be needed during interviews. Serving officers will also be required to demonstrate during the interviews that they are permanent and pensionable officers in the Civil Service by producing letters of confirmation in appointment in addition to letters of appointment (PSR 19).

Post: Water and Sanitation Officer (Grade I)

Location: Bingu National Stadium, Lilongwe

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants should be in possession of a Bachelor of Science in Water Management obtained from accredited institutions.

DUTIES

Supplying potable water to the stadium in satisfactory sanitary conditions;
monitoring the levels of water in the stadium water tanks;
putting in place back-up measures in time of shortage of water for the stadium;
producing monthly reports on the status of water supply for the stadium, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants should be in possession of a Bachelor of Science in Ova/Structural Engineering or Environmental Health obtained from accredited institutions.

DUTIES

Carry out risk assessment and fire safety inspections within and outside the stadium premises;
ensure that all firefighting equipment is regularly inspected, tested and regularly recharged;
ensure that there is an operation fire policy for the stadium, etc.

Applicants should be in possession of a bachelor’s degree in either Rural/ Community Development or Business Administration/Management/Studies obtained from accredited institutions.
Those with working experience in micro-enterprise development will have an added advantage.

DUTIES

Ensure proper management of all activities and daily operations of the centre;
develop and implement annual work plans for the centre;
ensure timely preparation and submission of centre budgets to program implementation unit;, etc.
