Driver

Function

To carry out office assignments and transporting students and staff on school trips. The successful candidate will also perform simple vehicle maintenance such as:

taking vehicle for oil changes or inspections,
filling fuel tanks,
cleaning exterior and interior of vehicle, and
preparing trip reports on mileage and fuel consumption.

REQUIREMENTS

Must possess a PSV Driving Licence
Minimum of a Malawi School Certificate of Education
Minimum 10 years’ experience in an organization of similar repute
Good communication skills
Mature and of sober habit
Knowledge of how to deal with children
Able to communicate clearly, confidently with staff and students

 Development Aid from People to People (DAPP) Malawi is a non-governmental nonprofit making organization that works with the communities in Malawi by promoting social and economic development in the Country within the areas of education, health, agriculture and food security and community development.

DAPP Malawi has four teacher training colleges in Malawi; Chilangoma, Amalika, Dowa and Mzimba. The person should be highly motivated, flexible to learn and work with other teachers and students and also with the community.

Star Program Manager

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop, implement and monitor detailed STAR work plan

Monitor and control project expenditure

Develop monthly and quarterly project progress reports

Work hand in hand with the Social Marketing & Research team

Work hand in hand with the Malawi Liverpool Welcome Trust for all research activities management

Establish and manage STAR hotline

Ensure adequate community liaison and buy in

Plan and oversee implementation of trainings for community-based distribution agents (CDBA) and peer educators in HIV oral fluid tests

Supervise M&E Officers

Ensure that quarterly routine data quality assessments are undertaken

Liaise with RH, SF and HIV teams for progress review and planning purposes

Manage project commodities and program income and implement STAR activities

Participate in MOH technical and donor meetings

Provide administrative assistance during STAR meetings/events/trainings/activities

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

Relevant graduate degree (Public health, Nursing, Social sciences) and at least five years of relevant professional experience.

Prior HIV program implementation and supervisory experience required

Experience in HIV project management with NGOs a preference
Skills and Knowledge

Clear understanding of the Malawian HIV epidemic and operating environment

Experience with different donor reporting requirements and procedures

Strong presentation and facilitation skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Fluency in English.

Willingness to travel approximately 30f the time

Be self-starter, effective team player and demonstrated verifiable result-oriented track record
