Duties and responsibilities

The Chef will be responsible for the following, among others:

Preparation of quality meals for staff/guests
Supervising cafeteria/guest house staff
Compiling weekly meal expenditure reports and records for Cafeteria/Guesthouse.
Maintaining reorder levels of food stuffs and other usable materials.
Washing, cleaning and pressing of guest house linen
Maintaining cleanliness of the cafeteria/guest house
Maintaining and ensuring security of inventory
Attending to cafeteria/guesthouse queries.
Qualifications and other Requirements

Minimum of Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE)
At least a certificate in Food Production obtained from a reputable institution.
Experience

Minimum of three (3) years hands-on experience in culinary arts in a hotel, lodge or any reputable catering institution.

Exports Supervisor

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful person will among other things be responsible for:

Making container bookings with Shipping Lines and drafting Shipping Instructions.
Container tracking with Port Agents to ensure up to date position of Export shipments.
Dispatching general exports to various destinations on time to ensure targets are met.
Keep Clients informed on status of their shipments.
Ensure that Target Vessels are met
Export Customs Entries are submitted in a timely manner and thereafter distributed as necessary for efficient movement of Cargo.
Preparing cheque requisitions for paying transporters or shipping line invoices.
Compiling exports statistics and Monthly Operational Reports
Any other duties assigned by the line manager from time to time.
Qualifications

Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Diploma by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport from a recognized Institute
At least five years working experience managing people and finance
At least three years minimum in shipping operations.
Applicants accredited by MRA for proficiency in customs clearing will have an added advantage.
Accordingly the ideal candidate should have the ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time without losing attention to detail.
He/she must have computer proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook.
Self-starters with high level integrity, numeracy and good communication skills both oral and written.

The Accountant serves in a number of roles such as, overseeing the preparation of all financial documents related to the company, Implementation of financial strategies, making investments decisions and s/he is a member of the management team which plays an integral part in developing long-team goals.

Qualifications:

Main Responsibilities

Reporting to the District Sanitation and Hygiene Coordinators, in the 3 districts of Mzimba, Kasungu and Nkhatabay, the incumbents will be responsible for:

implementation of sanitation and hygiene activities In the district.
They will be responsible for provision of assistance In project planning, implementation. monitoring and evaluation of all sanitation and hygiene activities in the district, working closely with Extension workers and other local duty bearers as required in the project design and strategy documents in accordance with Detailed Implementation Plan and CPAR Malawi policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Experience

Degree or diploma in Environmental Health/ Public Health/ Social Science/Community Development or its equivalent.
Demonstrable experience In implementation of Community Led Total Sanitation (CLTS), School led Total sanitation (SLTS) other school based sanitation and hygiene participatory approaches, sanitation Marketing and its micro-financing is a requirement.
Good knowledge of the project cycle management and demonstrable experience of application of community based participatory approaches is desirable
Must be a good team player and cultural sensitive.
Ability to integrate/mainstream cross-cutting themes like gender, environment, & capacity building in all sanitation and hygiene activities.

Main Responsibilities

The District Sanitation and Hygiene Coordinator is responsible for running and supervising sanitation and hygiene activities at all stages of the project management cycle in the target districts.
He/she is also responsible for accomplishing the project objectives and outcomes within the contextual constraints.
The Coordinator ensures the overall success of the project by making sure the WASH team members and partners complete the defined activities in the Program Cooperation Agreement (PCA) while adhering to CPAR internal policies, Detailed Implementation Plans, standards and contractual obligations, and that the program is completed on time, within budget and with acceptable quality.
Qualifications and Experience

Degree in WASH related studies (engineering, public health, Geology etc )
A solid understanding of the Government WASH Policies and guidelines and knowledge of the WASH sector indicators a must
Demonstrable experience in implementation of Community Led Total Sanitation (CLTS), School led Total sanitation (SLTS) other school based sanitation and hygiene participatory approaches, sanitation Marketing and Its micro-financing.
Good communication skills, including ability to simply present complex technical information.
Strong experience in capacity building and training of staff and target groups, especially in community mobilization, hygiene promotion, CLTS and SLTS
Strong ability to manage, motivate and supervise staff to achieve desired results.
Must be self-starter with a lot of initiatives and ability
Must have high integrity and culturally sensitive.
Must be computer literate with good community mobilization skills
At least five years’ experience in a similar post or equivalent middle management position.
High negotiations and communication skills and be able to perform with minimum supervision.
Excellent interpersonal and team building skills
Clean and valid driving license with experience in driving 4×4 vehicles and motorbikes will be an added advantage
