EXPORTS SERVISOR

 Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful person will among other things be responsible for:



Making container bookings with Shipping Lines and drafting Shipping Instructions.
Container tracking with Port Agents to ensure up to date position of Export shipments.
Dispatching general exports to various destinations on time to ensure targets are met.
Keep Clients informed on status of their shipments.
Ensure that Target Vessels are met
Export Customs Entries are submitted in a timely manner and thereafter distributed as necessary for efficient movement of Cargo.
Preparing cheque requisitions for paying transporters or shipping line invoices.
Compiling exports statistics and Monthly Operational Reports
Any other duties assigned by the line manager from time to time.

Qualifications - Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Diploma by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport from a recognized Institute • At least five years working experience managing people and finance • At least three years minimum in shipping operations. Applicants accredited by MRA for proficiency in customs clearing will have an added advantage.



Accordingly the ideal candidate should have the ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time without losing attention to detail. He/she must have computer proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook. Self-starters with high level integrity, numeracy and good communication skills both oral and written.

The Role

The person will drive payroll matters for the Old Mutual Group in processing payroll data and other associated transactions for executives, managers and administration staff.

Responsibilities

Processing payroll, staff benefits with related activities timely and accurately.
Providing timely and thoughtful responses to payroll related enquiries.
Performing monthly payroll bank reconciliations.
Preparing routine personnel reports and assisting with forecasting of personnel costs, which includes detailed explanations of significant variances in budget compared to actuals.
Helping with day to day payroll processes.
Providing relevant summary reports from payroll to finance for appropriate action.
Compiling and reconciling PA.Y.E. schedule on monthly basis.
Medical scheme, pension scheme, loan reconciliations, integration and posting.
Processing of staff payments.
Minimum requirements

A holder of a Degree in Accounting/Finance or a Diploma in Accounting.
Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in processing payroll management in a busy work environment in a busy work environment for a degree holder and 5 years’ experience for a Diploma holder.
Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
Excellent attention to detail.
Must be proficient in Pastel Payroll, Microsoft excel, word and outlook.
Must be a professional who is mature, pro-active, self-motivated and organized.
Ability to keep payroll information confidential at all times.
Competencies
