Timotheos Foundation is a Christian Charity in Malawi which is registered with all relevant stakeholders. Most of our programs target OVCs and their guardians although others outside these target groups also benefit as part of CSRs. However, urgent need has been raised by our stakeholders around our Child Care Centres (Day Care Centres) to uplift the educational standards through Junior Primary Schools in these institutions whereby teacher pupil ratio and teacher delivery of lessons will be monitored closely for better quality results. Hence, vacancies have been created in the following way:

Primary School Teachers (8 Posts)

Duties and responsibilities

Well experienced in teaching primary school pupils of standards 1 to 4.
Preparation of schemes of work and lesson plans from approved curriculum.
Examining of learners, marking in time and timely production of school reports.
Participation in teachers’ meetings and/or any other meetings as required by the school management for the smooth running of the institution.
Being innovative in bringing forward brilliant ideas and knowledge to fatten the approved curriculum.
Requirements

She/he must possess an MSCE or its equivalent
She/he must be a qualified Primary School Teacher from a reputable TTC in Malawi
She/he must be a Malawian who speaks good English and Chichewa
She/he must be between 25-40 years of age, and
She/he must be experienced, mature, presentable, well-behaved, sober and exemplary to the learners and other members of staff.
Candidates must be prepared to work in remote areas of Malawi.

Remuneration is negotiable to commensurate with what is currently on offer at the job market. Take note that only shortlisted candidates will be acknowledged.

School Administrative Assistant

Main Duties

To be the ambassador for the school when meeting parents and other visitors and to act as a first point of reference when people arrive.
To provide secretarial, clerical and administrative support to the Board, Principal and other staff.
Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the School and meeting the needs of the students.
Be aware of and support the difference in both students and staff and ensure equal opportunities for all.
Qualifications and Experience

A minimum of Advanced Diploma in Administration, Secretarial or related qualification in similar field
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position Fluency in English.
Desirable Skills

Attention to detail
Ability to work in a culturally diverse team and communicate with a wide range of audience in a clear, courteous and effective way
Excellent interpersonal, oral and demonstrated written and communication skills.

Qualifications

Applicants should be either Senior Assistant Tourism Officers (Grade J)
with a minimum of four (4) years experience at that grade or non-serving in possession of a bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management obtained from accredited institutions
Duties

Collect, collate and analyze statistics and other information required for policy formulation,
planning, marketing and monitoring impact of the tourism sector; maintain a comprehensive tourism information system;
assist in organizing special promotional projects and events on the annual tourism calendar, etc.
Note:

Documentary evidence of major requirements specified in the advertisement shall be needed during interviews. Serving officers will also be required to demonstrate during the interviews that they are permanent and pensionable officers in the Civil Service by producing letters of confirmation in appointment in addition to letters of appointment (PSR 19).
