Qualifications
Professional accounting qualification ACCA, CPA or CIMA,
Practical experience with accounting packages preferably Microsoft great planes,
3 years minimum experience in accounting/audit in the NGO sector,
Integrity and high degree of honesty,
Ability to multi-task and willing to work extra hours to meet specific deadlines
Roles and Responsibilities
To assist in managing all aspects of the finance function of the Concern Worldwide Malawi country programme,
This is an exciting opening for a talented and committed individual, requiring excellent technical financial skills and strong management, strategic thinking and communication skills,
There is scope for the right individual to grow in the role, handling larger and more diverse portfolios as the organisation continues to grow and develop
Develop a strong finance tam through line managing and providing technical training to Finance Officers in accordance with organisational values, policies and procedures,
Support the Country Finance Controller (CFC) in ensuring that strong finance systems exist and are adhered to internally and in partner organisations with which Concern implements programmes,
Prepare and issue of timely management accounts to Budget holders/managers,
Prepare accurate balance reconciliations, variable reports and review cashbooks, bank books and month end Journals,
Assist the CFC in the preparation and consolidation of annual budgets Budget revisions, donor reports as well as preparing for and following up on external audit recommendations,
Prepare recharge schedules submit quarterly recharges reports to Dublin in a timely manner,
Provide cover in the absence of the CFC, Perform regular field visits to provide support to field finance staff and managers
