TRAINING OFFICER

 Logos Ministries, a Christian Organization with the Reformed Traditional background, invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the vacant position of a Training Officer in the administration Department.

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be part of the training team of Logos Ministries on a two year renewable contract. He or she will be reporting directly to the Training Programmes Coordinator.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Teaching and lecturing Certificate, Diploma, and Degree students at Logos Ministries Resource Centre
Training and developing Lay leaders of the church in Reformed Theology
Helping the Training Programmes Coordinator in organizing In-Service Trainings for the Church Ministers
Preparation of quarterly and annual activity reports for the office of the Training Programmes Coordinator
Working out annual work plans for the Training Department
Will be required to travel extensively and must be prepared to work odd hours and week-ends.

Qualifications

The desired candidate must be a Christian of the Reformed Tradition and must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology from a recognized institution with very good communication or teaching skill.
Those who have considerable experience on Reformed Tradition Church leadership will have an added advantage.

LIN’s mission is to promote activities that increase local human capacity and technical competence for providing HIV/AIDS care and support to people living with HIV (PLWH) in Malawi. LIN is collaborating with the Ministry of Health, implementing partners, academic institutions, and hospitals in the Northern region, community-based organisations and international/domestic partners to provide ongoing technical assistance and implement health and information technology programs. Job Title : Finance Officer

Duties

Preparing periodic financial reports
Reconciliation of nominal ledger
Preparation of annual auditing

Qualifications

A minimum of ICAM Diploma and studying towards professional qualification such as ACCA,ICAM ,CIMA or Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or Finance from a recognised institution.
At least 3 years’ work related experience in a similar role
Knowledge in at least one accounting package
Ability to work under tight deadlines with good prioritization skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare monthly customers statements and send to customers.
Preparation of monthly debtors’ reconciliations according to the aged analysis.
Collection of debtors and issuing of receipts.
Posting of cheque payments in the system.
Prompt banking all cash collected from customers.

Requirements

Qualification

Principal Duties Include

Analyzing, designing, programming and testing new programs;
Developing and maintaining databases;
Producing various reports as may be required from time to time by users;
