PROGRAMME COORDINATOR –

PEDIATRIC HEMATOLOGY ONCOLOGY PROJECT

The Programme coordinator will report directly to the Special Projects Coordinator and will be responsible in the implementation of administrative operation of Globe hope program – Hematology Oncology Project, Providing input into standard operating policies and procedures associated with the position, writing reports, monitoring budgets and staff supervision.

Qualification and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/ Healthcare administration Project Management/ Nursing, Public health or other related field
One or two years’ experience in Project Management
Good organization and communication skills, multi-tasking, planning and processing mapping
Experience in a hospital and departmental practices
Able to work in a multi-cultural environment
Excellent interpersonal skills
Any other duties as assigned.

Description

IFAW is seeking a Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Officer to ensure performance monitoring and impact evaluation are effectively and efficiently implemented in the project. The Officer will manage and coordinate any field data collection and reporting efforts by project staff. The Officer will ensure that the methodologies used for data collection and evaluation are effectively used, tracked, and reported. This position has a direct reporting relationship to the IFAW Malawi Chief of Party and indirect reporting relationship to the Program Operations Director in the United States.

Qualifications

Prior experience with USAID-funded programs, and knowledge of USAID reporting requirements preferred.
Training in quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Demonstrated success and experience monitoring results and indicators of conservation or community development projects.
Knowledge of data analysis software, e.g., SPSS and GIS technology a strong advantage.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Professional proficiency in written and spoken English required.

CLINICAL MENTORS (MULTIPLE POSITIONS)

 Summary of the position:

The Clinical Mentor will be in a position to scale up and improve quality of care & treatment services for adults, children, pregnant women, adolescents and key populations using different models of care at facility level in accordance with national guidelines.

Reporting to the team leader, he/ she will provide direct care related to HIV ‘treatment and care’ as well as building capacity of MOH staff at the facility to meet the 90-90-90 treatment targets for HIV testing, treatment and viral load suppression.

Duties and Responsibilities

Train and mentor clinicians in the didactic and practical matters of HIV care and treatment
Equip clinicians and nurses to effectively diagnose and manage ART patients for opportunistic infections, drug side effects, and treatment failure.
Assist health providers at designated points of service in case finding and strengthening entry points in order to increase the number of clients tested and referred for care and treatment.
Work with facility staff to improve systems for identification of HIV exposed infants and children
Assist in maximizing the efficiency of clinic systems as they relate to HIV care and treatment
Assist facility staff to improve the operation of the ART clinic and the patient referral network
Ensure that there is tracking system of medicines including verification of expiry date before receiving supplies
Work directly with facility staff to design and implement quality improvement projects.
Work closely with the facility in-charge to improve adherence to national guidelines, procedures, and SOPs
Ensure that referral and linkage of TB/HIV co-infection is in place
Ensure that infection control procedures are followed
Assess and formally report the progress of the mentoring visits

Qualification required:

Registered Clinical Officer
Strong knowledge and experience with HIV/AIDS treatment
2nd line provider preferred
Excellent communication skills — both written and oral
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong leadership skills
Creative thinker and good team player
Respect for local leadership in the health system
Sensitive to and respect for local culture and tradition

Malawi Union of Savings and Credit Cooperatives (MUSCCO) has been mandated by one of its affiliates Thyolo Teachers’ SACCO to recruit a General Manager for the SACCO. MUSCCO is looking for energetic, self-motivated and enthusiastic persons who wish to pursue a carrier in cooperatives development to fill the position of General Manager reporting to SACCO Board of Directors through the Board Chairperson, the General Manager will be responsible for day to day operations of the SACCO to ensure efficiency and timely delivery of financial services to members and growth of the SACCO.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION
The successful candidate will have the following key duties and responsibilities among others:

Manage day to day financial operations of the SACCO based on policies, procedures as approved by the Board of Directors from time to time.
Manage staff and ensure high productivity.
Prepare and implement strategic plans, yearly business plans for Board’s approval.
Manage assets and liabilities of the SACCO to attain desired yields from members’ savings, shares, deposits, loans and investments.
Ensure delivery of quality services to Member
Provide timely SACCO operations and administrative reports to Board of Directors.
Prepare, manage and attend to SACCO committees meetings and other SACCO scheduled meetings.
Ensure the SACCO’s compliance to industry and regulatory standards as set by the Reserve Bank of Malawi.
Provide guidance to the Board of Directors, committees and staff regarding strategic direction of the SACCO with a view to grow business.

THE PERSON
The ideal candidate should have:

A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Administration, Economics, Banking or Accounting. Those with Masters Degree in related fields are also encouraged to apply.
At least 5 years post qualification experience in a financial institution at Managerial level involved in planning, product development, credit management, budgeting and reporting.
A good grasp of the financial industry in Malawi, regulatory framework and current issues affecting the industry in general.
Drive to grow business, results oriented, excellent communication, verifiable track record, analytical and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of finance, human resource management and general marketing of financial services/products.

Qualifications

At least 7 years of experience in administration of grants
Experience managing a financial and/or grants component of a US Government funded program
Knowledge of the international conservation and development funding field desirable.
Demonstrated experience of the accounting/finance/administrative area.
Strong English communication skills.
Masters-level education/training or equivalent experience in Finance and Business Management or related technical fields.
