Primary Principal

The school is located in a quiet residential neighborhood, set on a large plot of land lined with fragrant, colourful frangipani trees. The current structure includes nine classrooms, a mini multi-sport arena, a beginner's swimming pool and interactive playground.

School Vision / Ethos:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a visionary principal to take the reins of this popular, privately owned Montessori and primary school who provide a UK Curriculum education to local and expat pupils from the surrounding area with a real community feel.

Started by the founder who is now keen to retire, she is keen to find a leader who shares the same vision for outstanding education provision while providing a family feel. While this school is privately owned, the money is invested back into the school for the benefit of the pupils. The owner is keen to find a leader with innovative and new ideas, who would be able to mentor and develop the local teaching staff, to support with curriculum delivery, ICT integration and the overall running of the school to allow the owner to concentrate on opening a secondary campus.

Requirements:

- Teachers must have 5+ years of experience and a degree or post graduate qualification in Primary education.

- Experience with Montessori and the UK National Curriculum would be an advantage.

- As this school grows they are looking for leaders who are innovative, adventurous and excel in creative thinking, flexibility, communication and collaboration to join the team in creating an outstanding school.

Package:

Payment will be up to $3300 USD, dependent on experience. You will be provided with a furnished two bedroom apartment, given full medical cover, use of a car, relocation allowance, flights to the school and on completion of contract and visa will be provided

Driver/Mechanic

Job purpose

Duties and Responsibility

To carry out periodic checks on all vehicles to determine maintenance needs and report accordingly and in time
To be responsible for routine vehicle maintenance and general services from time to time
To ensure cleanliness of all vehicles at all times when in use or otherwise and that the vehicle is in good condition before use
To drive carefully at all times and ensure safety of the passengers, other road users and the assigned vehicle
To keep up to date vehicle mileage log
To ensure all vehicle reports are done on a monthly basis and submitted on or before the scheduled date Other tasks and responsibilities as may be designated from time to time

Qualification and Experience

Applicants must possess a minimum qualification of M.S C E

Clean driver’s License
At least grade 2 trade test certificate in mechanics
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position
Be able to communicate in English and Chichewa
Basic Mechanical Knowledge and experience
Knowledge of traffic laws
