| | Cement Products Limited invites applications to fill the following positions tenable at Njereza in Mangochi District situated 35 kilometers from the Boma. The successful candidate will work in a new ultramodern clinker manufacturing plant, scheduled to be commissioned in August 2017:
General description of the job
The Head Chemist shall be reporting to the Plant Manager for the effective production processes to achieve quality at the Clinker and Cement Plant.
Key Responsibilities
Provide site leadership for laboratory personnel
Management of equipment, process
Organize and participate training programs.
Provide technical expertise on laboratory analysis,
To provide optimum analytical support of mining operations and technical advancements
Providing guidance and direction on new developments and resources needed to achieve the desired goals
Supervise, enhance, and monitor quality control.
Report to management quality control and analysis issues and making appropriate recommendations accordingly.
Ensure QC or GA through over site of regular reviews and make appropriate corrections or recommendations to assure quality data response to business unit.
Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications and Experience
BSc (Chemistry)
10-15 years’ experience in cement industry in quality control and production processes
Good knowledge of XRF analysis
Good knowledge of solutions for Quality Control.
Good knowledge of raw materials required for clinker and cement products.
Practical experience in Rotary Kiln processes
Computer literate
