ACCOUNTANT

 Reporting to the Chief Accountant, the successful candidate shall be responsible for Branch expense budget tracking, verification of payment documents and purchase orders, credit policy enforcement, supervising branch finance team, cash flow management, coordination of operating process in the department, confirmation unit sales costing/invoicing and management of branch fixed assets register.

Key Result Areas:

Check expenditure requests to ensure compliance with budgets and notifies appropriate budget holders in the event proposed expenditures are outside budgets.
Assist with the preparation of monthly departmental performance report and variance analysis.
Assist with preparation and review of expense budgets.
Maintain an asset register and issue periodic reports on physical status of the assets.
Ensure all fixed company assets are properly tagged as soon as delivered.
Coordinate and supervise timely and accurate preparation of all monthly schedules that are required for financial reporting.
Ensure timely reconciliation and replenishment of petty cash bank account. –
Ensure that accounts receivables and payables are within agreed targets and limits.
Implement policies and procedures (manual and computerised) pertaining to the maintenance of accurate accounting records and report preparation.
Supervise the following accounting functions, including but not limited to: General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Receivable, Reconciliation of daily banking, Inventory reconciliations and physical verification.
Assist with the developing and monitoring of adherence to internal controls to avoid company losses.
Develop risk register and manage the risk.
Reinforce a high level customer relations and service culture among all direct reports.
Timely handles and resolves customer complaints (both internal and external).
Monitor and appraise direct reports’ performance in line and full compliance with existing policies and procedures as well as tools such as PMS online, CDP etc.
Enforce compliance with all Toyota Malawi Operating Procedures (SOPs) and terms and conditions of service as laid out in the staff handbook.
Candidates must meet the following minimum academic

qualifications and competencies:

A Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or any related filed.
Minimum of three (3) years relevant experience in accounting.
Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills.
Fully Certified Accountant will be added advantage.
Maintains advanced knowledge and awareness of financial industry status and trends.

DISTRIBUTION CENTRE MANAGER

Purpose of the Position:

To manage the country logistics activities towards ensuring that all stores are optimally stocked according to operational requirements and logistical policies and procedures, in order to obtain maximum sales at minimum costs. The purpose is achieved by acting as a link between Stores, Field Management and the Country Logistics Department.

Key Responsibilities

Inbound: Management of the inbound processes to ensure delivery of all imported and local deliveries to the country DC within planned purchase order time lines.
Distribution Centre: Management of the DC function to ensure accurate processing of all stock and transactions for inflows, storage and processing, as well as timeous stock outputs, as well as all aspects of Occupational Health and Safety within the DC.
Transport: Management of the transport function for the delivery of all stock, fixtures and fittings from the country DC to stores.
Risk Management: Management of all aspects of risk in the country DC and central offices, including Occupational Health and Safety, access control, guarding and response management, alarms and other monitoring.
Cost Management: Management of the local Logistics cost within budget.

Job Incumbent Requirements

A Commercial Degree or Diploma will be an advantage.
5 years’ experience preferably in Distribution Centre and Transport Management
Understanding of Import and Export processes as well as Customs procedures will be an advantage.
Computer literate (MS Office, Excel)
Must be fluent in English with good communication ability.
Competencies required: Leadership style, Coaching, Problem assessment, Decision making, Negotiation and influencing, Business acumen / commercial sense.

Monitoring of total equipment care

Attending to trouble shooting of all mechanical failures

Reporting to higher authorities on duty for all major mechanical trouble shootings immediately as they occur.

Qualifications and Experience

BSc (Mechanical engineering)

Minimum practical working experience of 10 years in a cement plant

Good knowledge of cement processing machinery, gearboxes, bearings and fittings.
