General description of the job

The Plant and vehicle Maintenance Manager reporting to the Plant Manager and shall be responsible for providing leadership in fleet management for efficiency and effectiveness. The fleet includes heavy mobile industrial machines, goods haulage vehicles and small (utility) vehicles

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for the overall management, organizing and planning vehicle and heavy machines equipment repairs through a functional mechanical system timely
Supervise company drivers and operators and ensure incident free work operations that adhere to strict Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) regulations, standards and applicable laws
Familiar with procedures in vehicle registration, licenses and insurance renewal & claims
Have excellent administrative, organizational communication, negotiations. performance and monitoring skills.
Maintenance of trip logbooks, fuel consumption and other vehicle records,

Qualifications and Experience

A relevant Degree or its equivalent in Logistics and Fleet Management,
Minimum practical working experience in fleet management of 5 years in a busy manufacturing industry

General description of the job

The Safety and Housekeeping Manager shall be reporting to the Plant Manager shall be responsible for management of safety and housekeeping matters for the Clinker and Cement Plants.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for planning, management and organizing safety procedures
Planning. management and organizing housekeeping schedules for the plant and the surroundings
Maintaining schedules for serving of safety equipment such as fire extinguishers.
Responsible for training programs on safety meters
Outsourcing where necessary services on safety requirements

Qualifications and Experience

Relevant certificates in HSSC or its equivalent.
Minimum practical working experience in safety and housekeeping of 10 years in a busy manufacturing industry

Working under the Mechanical Engineer in-charge of a particular section
Specific Vacancy Areas are as follows:

Kiln, (3 Positions)
Crushing Section: (3 Positions)
Cement Mill: (3 Positions)
Raw Mill: (3 Positions)
Coal Mill (3 Positions)
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate all interventions in case of breakdown.
Ensure proper use of the equipment in particular to avoid damage
Organize and control Maintenance work schedule for the mechanical team.
Work hand-in-hand with shift mechanical crew
Maintain ISO procedures
Monitor implementation of Safety procedures.
Organise safety training for mechanical team according to the safety baffling plan,
Ensure relevant reports are generated and filled
In-charge of specific tasks as defined by the mechanical manager

Qualifications and Experience

A Technical College diploma in Mechanical Engineering of its equivalent
Minimum practical working experience of 5 years in a Cement plant
Computer literate
Knowledge of local safety regulations and procedures
Knowledge of equipment technology

Reporting to shift Foreman, ensure completion and achieving quality in the execution of maintenance jobs

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for maintenance and care of relevant equipment
Undertaking maintenance lobs as instructed by superiors
Record anomalies observed on equipment during maintenance or inspection,
Ensure that proper safety measures are being adhered to at all times by all personnel
Recording daily job activities.
Manage personnel waking under him/her
Respond to emergency repair needs.
Ensure safe storage and disposal of replaced spares
Maintaining clean work environment

Qualifications and Experience

A Grade 1 Nation Trade Test Certificate or Diploma in mechanical engineering
Minimum practical working experience of 3 years in a cement plant
Knowledge of relevant equipment,

General description of the job

The candidate will be reporting to the Head of Electrical Department with a key responsibility of supporting the running of the factory by attending to proactive and reactive maintenance works The incumbent will also be required to sustain, and where necessary improve status and performance of machinery.

Key Responsibilities

Attending to breakdowns and with rapid response to minimize downtime Planning and carrying out preventive maintenance work
Carry out maintenance work and equipment during production, effectively and efficiently, with minimal disruption to production operations
Delegate and supervise maintenance jobs to subordinates
Manage personnel working on duty
Ensure safe storage and disposal of replaced spares.
Maintaining clean work environment
Inspecting Daily Engineering Log Reports.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Diploma in Engineering A minimum of 4 years in a clinker factory.
Knowledge of DCS and Pic system and analyzers, temperature, pressure. level transducers and switch gears, transformers and VFD and heavy duty generators.

General description of the job

The Senior Chemist shall be reporting to the Head Chemist for the effective production processes to achieve quality from the raw materials to the final product.

Key Responsibilities

Achieving good quality products by conducting all the required tests according to the norms, standard and specifications.
Develop a true team spirit and work in partnership with colleagues.
Follow maintenance and calibration procedures of the laboratory equipment.
Test all incoming raw materials (physical and chemical analysis) to meet required specifications.
Write technical reports; and prepare standards and specifications for production processes.
To perform chemical analysis tests on all raw materials used for clinker and cement production (e.g. clinker, gypsum. slag, coal, clay, iron and limestone)
How to analyse S03 and CI using the wet process
To perform chemical analysis using XRF or wet analysis.
Keep work areas in clean condition at all times
Maintain safety laboratory procedures’

Qualifications and Experience

BSc (Chemistry)
7-12 years’ experience in cement industry in quality control and production processes.
Knowledge in XRF Analyzer for chemical analysis
5 years’ practical experience in laboratory work at a clinker plant with a Rotary kiln:
