ACADEMIC QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER

position:

Academic Quality Assurance Manager

Assist the University Registrar with the operations and management of the university’s Quality Assurance activity, to make significant contributions to the development, monitoring, review, management end implementation of quality assurance policies and procedures and associated administrative systems and contribute to special institutional projects and QAA related activities.

Qualification and Experience:

The candidate should have a considerable professional experience on quality assurance in an institution of higher learning and be able to deliver high quality guidance across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes of study
Should have the following; PhD or Masters in Business Management/ Administration and experience in Quality Management, and Experience in quality assurance will be added advantage
The candidate must have not less than 3 years of practical experience in similar work with proven track record

Duties:

Make a pro-active and significant contribution to the development and implementation of our quality assurance policies and procedures and collaborative Malawi and international provision ensuring that that these policies conform to appropriate national codes of practice and guidelines as provided for by NCHE
Provide pro-active, informed and professional advice to colleagues and various committees and represent the Academic and Quality Systems Office (QSO) on various faculty committees, as appropriate
Work with other colleagues within AQSO in developing, establishing, managing, monitoring and reviewing a range of systems to support our quality assurance policies and procedures.
Contribute to the drafting of written reports on quality assurance activities for venous committees and other relevant policy developments.
As part of the academic staff the Quality assurance person will take part in lecturing and m supervising students.
Ensure that the university and all members of staff adhere to the set standards and work in collaboration with other organization of higher teaming for the purposes of progression on best practices.

To assist with the creation and maintenance of all documentation relating ICT services and procedures
