ICT ASSISTANTS (2 POSITIONS)

 Airport Developments Limited (ADL) invites applicants to fill the following positions tenable at Kamuzu International Airport (KIA)

Reporting to ICT Manager, the successful ICT Assistants will be responsible in ICT duties.

Responsibilities

Perform daily server backups –
Perform inventory of ICT equipment and software
Monitor and maintain security of ICT infrastructure (Virus protection, fire protection and power failure protection etc)
Administer software and other ICT related licences
Maintain and troubleshoot ICT equipments
Support staff on the usage of informatics equipment such as the following:
Operation Systems
Software Programs and Applications Communication Equipments
Communication Equipment
Maintain trouble shoot and do minor repairs of computer network and ICT equipment
Provide support to ACCPAC Accounting: VIP HR and CUTE Systems
Assist in installing, configuring and administering company’s ICT infrastructure
Any other duties assigned from time to time by the IT Manager

Requirements

Diploma in Information Technology from reputable institution – MSCE –
Three years working experience in a busy organisation

Location: In all Regional Water Development Offices.

Qualifications

Applicants should be holders of Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) with credits in Mathematics, Physical Science and Geography. Those with knowledge of Technical Drawing will have an added advantage.
Duties

Under the direction of the Draughtsman or Design Engineer to trace Water Project Construction Drawings.
Trace pipe line plans including maps aerial photographs.
Maintain up to date 1/50,000 maps of Malawi.
Plot and record up to date information on maps of each project.
Responsible for printing of field hand — books
Any other duties as directed from time to time in the compilation of data and preparation of plans.

Reports to: Procurement Officer

Roles and Responsibilities

Assist in receiving goods and ensure they meet quality standards
Trace, track and expedite purchase processes and interact with third party logistics service providers
Assist in creating and maintaining contact with vendors and beneficiaries to ensure timely delivery of goods
Ensure accuracy of all inventories and ensure that there is sufficient space for incoming deliveries
Checks that dispatch is prioritised appropriately
Assist in ensuring that orders correspond with agreed specifications (price, pack size, etc.)
Assist in distribution of commodities to beneficiary facilities Assist in reconciling all orders and delivery notes.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of Diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain or studying towards a Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain
Diploma/degree in any of the following fields Transport and Logistics, Procurement, Finance or Business Administration
Membership to relevant Chartered Institutes can be an advantage.

Required experience

Two years’ experience in procurement and logistics department.
Desired attributes
Experience working with donor funded organizations preferred
Understanding of basic procurement principles and numerical competence
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Good negotiation skills
Effective oral and written English skills
Good administrative and organizational skills and ability to keep documentation tidy and accessible.

Roles and responsibilities

The Administrative Assistant plans, directs and oversees the project activities at regional level including procurement, human resources, administrative and office operations. Responsibilities include:

Maintaining administrative and human resources procedures and ensuring that they are being adhered to
Ensuring that project’s fixed assets are being well maintained and serviced
Ensure proper coordination and facilitation of meetings
Ensure high quality staff welfare and health and maintaining a conducive working environment
Monitor office security and supplies and ensuring the cleanliness of the offices is up to date
Undertake all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management from time to time
Advising management on human resource and administrative issues.

Required qualifications

Minimum of Advanced Diploma in Business Administration, Public Administration or Social services.
Required experience

Minimum of five years relevant experience
Experience working with donor funded projects will be an added advantage
