Reports to: Procurement Officer
Roles and Responsibilities
Assist in receiving goods and ensure they meet quality standards
Trace, track and expedite purchase processes and interact with third party logistics service providers
Assist in creating and maintaining contact with vendors and beneficiaries to ensure timely delivery of goods
Ensure accuracy of all inventories and ensure that there is sufficient space for incoming deliveries
Checks that dispatch is prioritised appropriately
Assist in ensuring that orders correspond with agreed specifications (price, pack size, etc.)
Assist in distribution of commodities to beneficiary facilities Assist in reconciling all orders and delivery notes.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of Diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain or studying towards a Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain
Diploma/degree in any of the following fields Transport and Logistics, Procurement, Finance or Business Administration
Membership to relevant Chartered Institutes can be an advantage.
Required experience
Two years’ experience in procurement and logistics department.
Desired attributes
Experience working with donor funded organizations preferred
Understanding of basic procurement principles and numerical competence
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Good negotiation skills
Effective oral and written English skills
Good administrative and organizational skills and ability to keep documentation tidy and accessible.
