Qualifications:

Must have a relevant degree plus a professional accounting qualification and a Masters degree, with not less than 5 years’ experience at senior management level.
Must have lecturing experience at a reputable institution of higher learning of not less than three years or consultancy and research experience obtained from a professional firm.
Experience in managing teams is a must, as well as good leadership and reporting skills.

DEPUTY SENIOR MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

Deputy Senior Maintenance Supervisor

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

provide leadership and supervision to the maintenance team,
provide effective upkeep of hospital equipment and facilities in liaison with heads of departments and hospital management;
devise preventive maintenance plans and ensure that they are executed; prepare maintenance budgets and ensure they are adhered to;
supervise maintenance contractors hired by the hospital,
compile reports for management’s decision making and
perform any other duties assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Experience and Attributes

Candidates must:

possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Engineering with five years of work experience in a busy maintenance department preferably in a hospital setting,
have excellent time management skills and ability to handle complex workloads,
have excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills;
have excellent problem solving and technical analytical skills,
have excellent computer skills and must be willing to work during odd hours.

HOSPITAL PHARMACIST

Hospital Pharmacist

Responsibilities

The successful candidate in this role will:

ensure safe and efficient procurement, storage, handling, usage and disposal of drugs and medical supplies;
develop hospital staffs pharmacological knowledge by participating in clinical programs and training pharmacy staff, interns and students,
direct pharmacy operational requirements and supervise all staff to ensure quality care; provide counseling to patients and clients on drug therapies;
ensure safe and quality preparation of medicines;
liaise with physicians, nurses and fellow healthcare professionals to ensure delivery of quality, safe and effective treatment,
report drugs side effects experienced by patients and respond to medication related queries from within the hospital and the general public;
keep up to date with and contribute to research and development, often in collaboration with medical staff and colleagues in the pharmaceutical industry;
and perform any other duties assigned by the Medical Director from time to time.

SACCO ACCOUNTANT

 The Reserve Bank of Malawi Savings and Credit Cooperative (RBM SACCO) is licensed under the Financial Services Act 2010 and Financial Cooperatives Act. The main objective of the RBM SACCO is to provide credit and savings facilities exclusively to employees of the Reserve Bank of Malawi. Currently, the RBM SACCO has over 350 members and has offices in both Lilongwe and Blantyre. The RBM SACCO is urgently looking for suitable candidates to vacant positions at Lilongwe offices as follows:

SACCO Accountant

The Accountant will be reporting to the SACCO Manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Participate in preparation of annual, quarterly and monthly operational plans and budgets;
Check daily postings and transactions and verify cash on hand;
Monitor, evaluate and control loan disbursements and repayments to prevent defaults;
Conduct monthly bank and general ledger reconciliations;
Prepare monthly member deduction sheets in respect of loan repayments and savings for submission to RBM Accounting Department;
Maintain the cashbook and reconcile monthly statements, ledgers and member accounts;
Prepare asset/liability maturity reports, liquidity reports and monitor deposit maturities for both the SACCO and members;
Process loan applications based on prevailing loan principles in liaison with SACCO Manager and RBM SACCO Board Credit Committee;
Uphold internal control systems and statutory requirements and recommend improvements to the system;
Service SACCO committee meetings assigned by the SACCO Manager;
Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial reports for the Board;
Prepare staff payrolls, payments for office operations and compute tax returns; and
Facilitate annual audit activities and inspections and perform any other duties assigned by the SACCO Manager from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Candidates must have either a Diploma or a University Degree in Accounting or Finance from a recognized institution;
At least 5 years’ experience for Diploma holders and 3 years’ experience for Degree Holders preferably in a financial institution;
Excellent written and oral business communication skills;
Computer proficiency at least in Microsoft Office packages; and
High degree of integrity and discipline.
