| | Maintenance Manager
Blantyre Hotels Limited, a company listed on the Malawi Stock Exchange, invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the vacant post of Maintenance Manager at its Hotel, Protea Hotels by Marriott Blantyre Ryalls, in Blantyre.
Purpose of the role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Maintenance Manager manages all maintenance operations including maintaining the buildings, grounds and physical plants with particular attention towards safety, security and asset protection.
Key responsibilities of the role
Supervising the day to day operations of the Maintenance Department.
Ensuring that all maintenance, repair and paint works are carried out timely and efficiently.
Servicing of air conditioners, plants and equipment as prescribed by manufacturers.
Planning, scheduling and evaluating preventative maintenance programs effectively.
Managing the Department’s controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications, experience and competences:
Must have a minimum of Diploma in Electrical or Civil Engineering.
Those with knowledge in refrigeration and electronics will have an added advantage.
Must have at least 3 years’ relevant experience in an equally demanding work environment.
Must be a self-starter with a high level of integrity, good communication and organizational skills.
Must be computer literate, able to work under pressure and at odd hours.
