To support our office monitor and evaluate the KP REACH programme we are looking for a:Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist – KP REACH Programme (Fixed term contract-Part Time 100E)

The job Introduction

Hivos is the Principal Recipient (PR) of a Regional GFATM (Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria) funded programme on Key Populations– Representation, Evidence and Advocacy for Change in Health: referred to as KP REACH. This program will be housed under the Hivos Southern Africa Hub, which is based in Harare.Position within the organisation

The Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist reports to the Programme Director – GFATM KP REACH and is responsible for the monitoring, evaluation and learning dimension of KP REACH and operates in accordance with Hivos policy and Global Fund requirements. The M&E Specialist works closely with the Programme Director & the Design Monitoring Evaluation & Learning Officer to support, monitor and strengthen monitoring and evaluation capacities of SRs to ensure proper planning & implementation. Strengthens the capacity of PMU and SRs informulation of objectives, results and indicators to ensureproper implementation of programmes.

The person

You are a qualified individual with strong analytic skill and anability to translate analysis into meaningful interventions. You have demonstrated ability in data analysis, project design, monitoring, and evaluation of development activities. You have experience in developing results frameworks, logical frameworks, or similar tools for project design is required. You demonstrate knowledge of and experience in monitoring and evaluating programs, including indicator development, study design, and data analysis—in multiple sectors. Your experience in experience managing grants or contracts is also highly desired.

Qualifications

*.Master’s degree in a development field, social science, economics, or relevant discipline.

*.Minimum of five years of progressively responsible professional experience in a performance monitoring and/or evaluation role with an international development organization
*.Specialized courses in foreign assistance, management, leadership,ethics, monitoring and evaluation and various specialized databases and computer programs is an added advantage
*.Excellent analytical skills and the ability to summarize disparate information in a clear and concise manner
*.Ability to create organizational work plans based on higher-level goals
*.Ability to work independently to efficiently meet deadlines
*.Strong interpersonal skills
*.Oral and written communication skills to deal effectively with mid and high level partner contacts.
*.Excellent organisational, writing, analytical and administrative skills

This position will be based in any of the following countries; Zimbabwe, South Africa, Malawi and Zambia. The Communication Officer reports to the Program Development Manager Women Empowerment in the hub for Southern Africa.

The Communication Officer develops communication strategies, organises online andoffline communication activities(e.g. conferences, seminars), develops and disseminates communication materials and enables the Hivos community and its partners to communicate effectively.

The Communication Officer Responsibilities are as follows:

1. Communication strategy development and implementation
2. Online strategy and content development
3. External positioning
4. Engagement of project teams
5. Quality improvement
6. Network development

The person.

You are a qualified individual with strong analytic skill and anability to translate analysis into meaningful interventions. You have a proven track record in Communication, Relationship management and Planned working. You are passionate women’s rights and are entrepreneurial and not afraid to try something new. You are agood networker with a proven ability to mobilize your network in support of the programme objectives. You are a capable process manager, sensitive to social and political environmentand trends in the Southern African Region, able to transform ideas into tangible solutions; and have experience in co-creation and managing multi-stakeholder projects

Qualifications

*.Level of professional andanalytical ability: Relevant Degree incommunication.
*.Recognised expert in relevant field,; transprarency and accountability and womens’ empowerment
*.Relevant work experience: 4-7 years
*.A proven track record in communications.
*.Track record in lobby and advocacy will be an added advantage
*.Experience in programme management.
*.Recognised (social innovation) expert in sector or region.
*.Access to international network.
*.Excellent organisational, writing, analytical and administrative skills
*.Self motivation and enthusiasm and ability towork under own initiative.
