ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

WaterAid’s Vision is of a world where everyone has access to safe water and sanitation. By 2030 we want everyone everywhere to have clean water, sanitation and hygiene.

WaterAid is looking for an experienced Administrative Assistant to provide front desk administrative and secretarial support to the Country Office in our mission to transform lives with safe water, sanitation and hygiene in the world’s poorest communities.

Reporting to the People, Organizational Development and Administration Manager, the Administrative Assistant will directly support the management of the day to day administrative processes, filling documents, act as contact person for incoming and outgoing communication, supervising Drivers, handling logistics, organizing events, overseeing maintenance of office facilities and equipment.

The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for:

Maintaining up to date inventory of the organization’s facilities and fixtures.

Supervising drivers and their movements.

Ensuring maintenance of vehicles and office equipment.

Ensuring that offices are supplied with stationery items

Taking minutes for assigned meetings, filing of HR and Administration documents and handling mail

Procurement of office supplies

Operating the reception, welcoming Visitors and managing the telephone billing system.

Organizing events, venue and accommodation booking, travel arrangements and VISA arrangements.

Processing payments for Insurance, Medical Aid, utility bills and others.

Support implementation of human resources policies and procedures.

Supporting and coordinating recruitments.

Documenting leave.

To be successful, you will need:

A Diploma in Business Administration, Public Administration, Office Management or Secretarial Studies

Proven experience in management of front office procedures in a busy Office

At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Good Computer literacy skills

SOLAR PV INSTALLER / SOLAR PUMP INSTALLER

 Responsibilities:
The solar panel installer configures, installs, inspects, and maintains solar PV systems for customers.
They assess the environment, and detect and mitigate any hazards associated with installation.
They map out where everything will go, and then place components according to those diagrams.
They seal the system against weather, using safety codes and manufacturer specifications.
They label, install, and terminate electrical wiring.
They test the system and measure grounding systems and make any adjustments to the controls.
Knowledge:
The solar panel installer must have a high school diploma, backgrounds in electrical engineering, electrical technology or electrical construction through an apprenticeship or formal degree program.
They should also have undergone workshops or classes in the basics of designing and installing PV systems and training for certification as a solar panel installer.
