It serves refugees, offering them practical and spiritual support, according to their humanitarian needs, regardless of their beliefs.
Jesuit Refugee Service is seeking applicants for the position of Psychosocial Case Manager
Duties and Responsibilities
Assess and attend to individual cases with relevant services: provision of information, counselling, psycho-education, referral to other services.
Facilitation of therapeutic support groups for various populations in Dzaleka Refugee Camp.
Coordination of child rehabilitation programme, which involves identifying children with challenging behaviour, assigning them to counsellors, support groups, and recreational activities.
Providing technical support to one or more community based organizations by giving consultations to plan activities, conducting trainings to build their capacity, and link them with other agencies they can partner with
Facilitating occasional psycho-education trainings for the community and psychosocial team
Supervise 6 community counsellors and various interns through regular sessions to assist them with case management, help them develop skills, and support them in their well-being.
Create relationships with other agencies serving in the camp so as to strengthen the referral system
Attending meetings within the psychosocial team on a weekly basis, and with other agencies.
Attend supervision sessions with the psychosocial project director.
Document activities and their outcomes and submit monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
Minimum Requirements
Must be a holder of Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology/ Social Work.
Must have at least 5 years’ experience in similar position.
