Reporting to the Operations Manager, the following are key tasks:

Assist in preparation for office meetings including departmental and general staff meetings
Ensuring appropriate use of the assigned vehicle accounting for each trip using the logbook and developed travel plans.
Ensure safe operation of the assigned vehicle, including inspection of required fluids, lights tyre conditions and overall condition as well as proper maintenance of the vehicle.
Ensure that vehicle maintenance records are kept properly and used to inform the Operations Manager of any vehicle needs.
Perform appropriate light preventive maintenance of the vehicle
Submit monthly and quarterly reports regarding vehicle maintenance, travel plan, insurance, COF.
Support banking duties as and when required.
Perform any other duties as assigned.

Profile

Possession of clean SADC driving licence C, a defensive driving licence will be an added advantage.
Knowledge of proper safe operation of vehicles.
Ability to assess mechanical problems
Preferably an MSCE.

The Organisation
Lilongwe Golf Club is an exclusive self-sufficient non-profit sports and entertainment club in Malawi offering 18 hole golf course with various levels of membership.

Duties and Responsibilities
This is a leadership position for Lilongwe Golf Club. The incumbent shall report to the Board of Directors through its chairperson on matters relating to the business of the Club. His or her duties shall include and not limited to the following:

Take charge and provide strategic and overall planning, direction, coordination, supervision and control of the Club’s functions and assets to gain an efficient and effective-achievement of work
Plans and high level customer satisfaction
Ensure that the Club’s plans, programmes and budgets are prepared and approved based on priorities and achieve value for money, within the available resources and keep financial and administrative records.
Monitor the quality of products and services provided and control revenue and expenditure to ensure adherence to policy, regulations, systems and procedures in order to attain good corporate governance.
Market the Club to attract and grow the business to ensure sustainability and viability of Club’s operations.
Negotiate contracts with sponsors, concessionaires and suppliers to ensure that members and patrons are satisfied with services delivered
Oversee proper management of facilities and ensure smooth operations as required from time to time.
Ensure that manpower needs are met through appropriate recruitment, remuneration, promotions, staff development and disciplinary procedures and systems.
Implement Board policy decisions and advise the Board on the performance of the Club.
Ensure that effective management systems, procedures and financial controls are in place to make the most effective use of the company’s resources
Keep abreast of trends and business development in the Sports and Entertainment industry
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Board or relevant authorities from time to time

Qualifications

Minimum of Bachelor Degree of Commerce from an accredited Institution.
Experience in managing a complex institutions with a diverse Human Resource Structure.
Experience in business development of sports and entertainment industry.
Competencies and Attributes
