REPORTING ACCOUNTANT

Reporting Accountant

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Business Controller, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following;

Prepare sales forecasts and budgets with sales volumes and prices
Assist in marketing and sales studies/analysis
Price Management
Costing of raw material and stock
Management of the GIT (goods in transit) accounts
Prepare daily performance dashboard
Prepare Monthly Management Reports (MMR), Forecasts and budgets
Prepare of variance analysis and conducting of monthly cost centre review meetings
Conduct stock take exercises for raw material, process stock and spare parts
Tracking of major spending against budget

Experience and Qualifications

A holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an ACCA/CIMA qualification from a well recognized University.
A minimum of 3 years work experience in an Accounting related position in a busy manufacturing company.

ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT — FIXED ASSETS AND NOMINAL LEDGER

Assistant Accountant — Fixed Assets and Nominal Ledger

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Financial Accountant, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Tracking of capital expenditure or projects ensuring spending is on budget and on time.
Timely updating of capital expenditure in the fixed asset register.
Reconciliation of fixed asset register against the nominal ledger
Conduct yearly physical verification of the Company assets to ascertain their existence and condition Tagging of all fixed assets.
Maintaining up-to-date insurance records including endorsements and claims settlements.
Processing of journal vouchers into the nominal ledger
Managing systems interfaces
Assist in preparation of the Monthly Management Reports (MMR)
Cost variance analysis and Nominal Ledger reconciliations
Depreciation charge computation in line with Company and Group policy.
Managing Prepaid expenses and staff float accounts
To master of the Chart of Accounts and conducting training to relevant stakeholders.

Experience and Qualifications

A holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from a well recognized University

Assistant Accountant - Accounts Payable

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Financial Accountant, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approvals.
Resolve differences on invoices ensure their accuracy.
Matching invoices with orders and GRNs
Process Invoices for local services and goods supplied to the Company in the Purchases Ledger
Timely payment to suppliers
Match invoices against payments and prepare aged creditors listing monthly
Prepare accruals for services received but not invoiced
Prepare suppliers reconciliation and resolve all queries.
Timely prepare VAT returns, payments and reconciliation of VAT account.
Assisting with design, operational effectiveness and documentation of Accounts Payable business process and controls
Raising Journal entries for account payable
Assist with month end closing

Requirements

ACCA Diploma or CIMA Intermediate or equivalent with two years experience
Must have strong work ethics
Thorough knowledge of applicable Accounts Payable systems and procedures
Strong problem solving skills, basic accounting principles and knowledge
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to interact with suppliers in a professional manner

Tasks and Responsibilities

Manage TNM products throughout their life cycle and recommend their retirement when required.
Determine product pricing by utilizing market research data: reviewing production and sales costs; anticipating volume; costing special and customized products and services.
Ensure that churn levels are at a minimum and introduce different loyalty schemes that will assist in customer retention.
Analyze profitability of TNM products and services

Educational and Professional Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, IT or Marketing.
