Pharmacy Technician

The ideal candidates must have an MSCE and a Diploma in Pharmacy or its equivalent with at least three years’ experience at Pharmacy Technician level in an organisation involved in managing pharmaceutical products
Preference will be given to those with a proven track record in a warehousing and distribution of pharmaceutical products environment
Reporting to the Pharmacist, the successful person will inter alia be responsible for:

Ensuring regulatory compliance of warehouse operations including receiving and storage and real time documentation.
Supervising the encoding /updating of all pharmaceutical stock movements (receipts, returns, adjustments issues) in management information system (MIS).
Supervising and monitoring of warehouse activities and processes to ensure efficient inventory management, order fulfillment and shipment of pharmaceutical products.
Checking and approving all receipt of pharmaceutical products generated from MIS
Organizing the picking, packing and dispatching of pharmaceutical products according to the distribution schedule_
Inspecting the approval or rejection of distribution vehicles based on season and suitability of vehicles to ensure compliance with set standards
Performing regular stock physical count and stock status report with relevant authorities
Applicants must be registered with Pharmacy Medicines & Poison Board with no sanctions. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook is a pre-requisite for this position Those having knowledge of pharmacy computer systems will have an added advantage. Responsibilities

Receiving/dispatching of goods in the warehouse

Preparing good receipt notes (GRN)

Preparing duty requests to clients and following up on such requests with clients for timely payment of customs duties
Preparing MRA duty cheque requisitions and effecting duty payments to MRA
Managing the MRA Remote Direct Trader Input (RDTI) operations with MRA
Declaration Processing Centre (DPC) for the final clearance of goods
Following up of documents at MRA (facilitation of Customs Release Orders, Exchange Control Stamped documents and Customs Physical Examinations of Goods)
Applying of imports permits of goods with the relevant authority where required
Checking and advising clients of any duty variances and advising clients on position of clearance of their goods
Good knowledge of exports, customs and exchange control procedures in Malawi and in-depth knowledge of tariffs and shipping operations are prerequisites for this position

MONITORING LEARNING AND EVALUATION MANAGER

 MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop or strengthen M&E plans for selected projects in PCI’s portfolio, ensuring that M&E systems and tools produce relevant, timely, quality data that are responsive to the project MLE strategy as well as compliance with reporting requirements.
Oversee implementation of project-level MEE plans, ensuring monitoring of indicators to ensure program/project progress against objectives.
Oversee the timely collection, data management, analysis and reporting of accurate qualitative and quantitative monitoring reports on a routine basis in line with PCI and reporting needs and requirements.
Facilitate the utilization of data by key stakeholders within PCI and applicable partner institutions (e.g. partner military) to inform program planning and program improvement.
Oversee the design, implementation and dissemination of selected baseline assessments, project reviews, mid-term and final evaluations.
Oversee research activities including impact assessments and support efforts for identifying opportunities for design and implementation of Operations Research Studies.
Contribute to proposals, design of programs. projects, and studies, including review and provision of feedback and selected program/project/study designs, survey methodology and findings; performance monitoring plans, evaluation methodology and findings.

Capacity Building

Strengthen organizational capacity in application of state of the art MLE methods and techniques, including program/project/study design and data analysis for decision making.
Orient key staff and partners to MEE plans, data collection and reporting methodology.
Strengthen MEE capacity of relevant PCI internal and partner staff, including data management, analysis, reporting and utilization of findings for program improvement.
Facilitates the development of a supportive team culture, empowering coordinators through effective delegation of duties and ensuring coordinators are empowered to take decisions at an appropriate level.

Learning and Knowledge Management

Support the design and establishment of various knowledge sharing platforms including case studies, workshops and forums to disseminate lessons & best practices.
Oversee the identification, documentation and sharing of best practices and success stories both internally and externally.

Program Quality

With the program team develops analyses and tools based on programmatic data to assess program quality.
Develops and oversees activities to assess and improve data quality of routine program data.
Advise program technical team on areas that require quality improvement programmatic interventions based on performance data.

JOB POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

University degree and 3-5 years of progressive experience in monitoring database operation with government and/or NGO systems and project.
Understanding of data management and basic principles of data analysis
Proficiency with database and spreadsheet programs .
Strong skills in effectively’ presenting data to a variety of audiences to facilitate evidence-based decision making.
Strong interpersonal, facilitation and coordination of team process skills.
Detail-oriented and able to produce results in a fast-paced environment.
Experience supporting and coordinating proposal preparation or other writing teams.

Preferred:

Experience developing learning agendas and/or identifying and developing best practices and lessons learned preferred.
Understanding and experience with program with experience with a variety of Government donors (i.e. DOD, PEPFAR) strongly preferred.
Experience and capacity in institutionalizing systems and standards throughout organization preferred.

Experience
