| Mustard Seed Communities – Malawi is looking for a dynamic, outstanding and passionate person to lead the organization to new frontiers. The Administrator will be responsible for the successful leadership and management of the organization according to the strategic direction set by the Board of Directors. She/he will have overall strategy and operational responsibility for MSC – Malawi staff, programs, expansion and execution of its mission.
The successful candidate will play a vital part in working towards the achievement of our organizational objectives that induce engaging and convening high level government officials, funding partners, civil society, private sector leaders and media organizations.
Responsibilities and Expectations
Under the overall authority of the Board and the direct supervision of the Chairperson of the Board, the Administrator will be expected to provide intellectual administrative and strategic leadership to the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Management
Ensure on going local programmes excellence, rigorous program evaluation and consistent quality of finance and administration, fund raising, communications and systems, recommended timelines and resources needed to achieve the strategic goals.
Actively engage, convene and energize staff members, partners and other stakeholders.
Fund raising & Communication
Expand local revenue generating and fund raising activities to support existing
program operations and simultaneously creating financial reserves.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
At least a degree in Social Sciences/Developmental Studies/Economics/ or other related fields.
At least (3) three years of civil society experience at managerial level and traceable records of deliverables to that effect with a track record of effectively leading and regionally or nationally scaling a performance and outcomes based organisation and staff, ability to point to specific examples of having developed and operationalised strategies that have taken an organisation to the next stage of growth.
Excellent organisational management with the ability to coach staff, manage and develop high performance teams, set and achieve strategic objectives and manage a budget.
Strong marketing, public relations and fundraising experience with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders and culture.
