| Key responsibilities
The Executive Director of MANET+ will report directly to the Board of Directors/ Trustees, and oversees implementation of their resolutions.
Key responsibilities shall include, but not limited to:
Lead the development and implementation of the organizational strategic plan and ensure they are in line with organizational vision, mission, goals and values for further development of MANET+
Guiding all program implementation in line with the strategy and ensure targets are being met in line with the operational plan
Maintain active linkages with all MANET+ member networks
Acting as a focal point for MANET+ relations with outside institutions, including the Government, Donors, Development Partners, civil society groups and HIV and AIDS stakeholders to advance sustainable support for PLHIV through a variety of corporate s rategies, policies and education initiatives.
Overseeing the financial management including annual audits through the Finance and Administrative Manager
Overseeing the appropriate use and safety of all MANET+ assets
Arranging for Annual General Assembly Meetings
Hiring, developing and ensuring that staff Annual Performance and Development Plans are reviewed
Participating in Annual Performance and Development reviews with Board of Directors
Preparing of MANET+ annual reports, and annual statements of MANET+ activities to the Annual General Assembly.
Keeping the Board fully informed of the progress of operations of MANET+.
Ensuring that MANET+ is visible and has strong positive public image through regular media promotion, speaking engagements and attending to appropriate public functions.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must have the following
qualifications:
At least a Masters Degree in Business Administration, Development Studies or any other related field
At least 5 years of proven experience at executive management level in social services or non-governmental organizations.
Experience with multi-donor funded programs
Strong leadership and management skills, organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical/Problem solving, and management of crisis, conflict and risk.
Fundraising skills with proven track recording in contract management
Knowledge and understanding of issues relating to HIV and AIDS and PLHIV support needs will be essential
Demonstrated leadership, presentation, administrative and supervisory abilities
Experience in budgeting and financial management systems.
