Qualifications

Applicants should be in possession of a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering obtained from accredited institutions with a minimum of five (5) years of post-graduate work experience in maintenance, inspection and new works (running projects) and must be registered with the Malawi Board of Engineers.
They should have knowledge of general mechanics, electrical or telecommunications engineering and also knowledge of safety laws and regulations.
Good knowledge of the Rail Industry and in-depth knowledge of the Laws of Malawi (Railways Act and related Regulations) are desirable.

Duties

Enforce infrastructure safety standards and their adherence through on-going inspections;
Ensure infrastructure assessment and produce reports thereof;
Investigate railway related accidents and incidents in liaison with relevant stakeholders, etc.

They should also have good working knowledge of the Rail Industry as well as knowledge of general mechanics, electrical and telecommunications engineering.

Duties
